  • This triggered a large-scale military operation in the region.

An ‘Israeli’ settler was killed and others were seriously wounded, one of them critically, in a shooting attack carried out by a Palestinian on Sunday.

The attack targeted a gathering of settlers near the gate of the Halamish (Neve Tzuf) settlement, northwest of Ramallah in the central West Bank.

Hebrew media confirmed that the assailant managed to escape the scene in his vehicle after the shooting.

This triggered a large-scale military and security mobilization by occupation forces in the area to pursue him and trace the route of his car.

‘Israel's’ public broadcaster (Kan) and ‘Israel's’ Channel 14 reported that the gunfire directly targeted the group before the assailant's car fled toward a neighboring Palestinian village.

‘Israeli’ medical crews rushed to the scene to transport the wounded to hospitals amid panic.

After the settler's death was announced, ‘Israeli’ forces sent in heavy military reinforcements and closed the entrances and main roads leading to several villages in northwest Ramallah, including Abud and al-Nabi Salih.
