Speaking after the meeting on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in New Delhi, Pezeshkian said the two sides discussed their concerns and agreed to move beyond past disputes.

"We had a good discussion about the issues and concerns that existed. We agreed to put the past aside and look forward to the future, and how we can build a future together," Pezeshkian said.

He added that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi continued the discussions afterward, describing the exchanges as "constructive interactions."
