The airline had halted the shipments more than six months ago amid the outbreak of the US-‘Israel’ war on Iran.
On Wednesday evening, United Airlines Flight 90 is scheduled to carry five shipments of military cargo from Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey to Tel Aviv, shipping records reviewed by The Intercept show.
The shipments include one consignment destined for the electro-optics division of Israeli weapons manufacturer Elbit Systems in Rehovot. Another is bound for Elbit Systems Land in Ramat Hasharon, while three shipments are scheduled for an Elbit facility in Karmiel.
At least one shipment to Karmiel is labeled “FMS,” referring to foreign military sales, according to the records. All five shipments are reportedly destined for defense companies operating under Elbit’s umbrella.
The Intercept said United had transported nearly 3,000 loads of military materiel over seven months in 2025 and early 2026, citing a report compiled by the Movement Research Unit, the Palestinian Youth Movement, People’s Embargo for Palestine, and the Democratic Socialists of America.
The cargo reportedly included components for fighter jets and tanks, helmet displays, electronics, and other equipment.
Griffin Mahon, co-chair of the national labor committee of the Democratic Socialists of America, said the shipments demonstrate United’s role in transporting equipment used by the ‘Israeli’ military.
“This report shows that United, consistently and on a regular basis, ships military materiel that is used by the Israeli military for its operations in Gaza, in Lebanon, and against Iran,” Mahon said.
“These parts are shipped on civilian passenger flights, and they represent one way that American companies enable the Israeli government’s war crimes,” he added.
United declined to comment, according to The Intercept. Representatives of Elbit Systems, Lockheed Martin, and the ‘Israeli’ Ministry of Defense also did not respond to requests for comment.
