Entire family killed in ‘Israeli’ strike on Gaza

• Parents and their two young children were among those killed as strikes and gunfire persisted in breach of the Gaza truce. 

An entire Palestinian family was killed on Thursday when ‘Israeli’ forces struck a home belonging to the Ahmed family in the Beit Lahia project area of northern Gaza, as ceasefire violations continued across multiple parts of the Strip.  

Local sources reported that the strike killed four members of a single family: Moamen Ahmed, his wife Haneen, and their two children, Lana, aged 12, and Bana, aged 8. 

The bodies of the four victims arrived at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. Others were injured in the same attack, while search efforts continued for people still believed to be missing under the rubble. 

The strike on Beit Lahia was not an isolated incident. Separate areas across northern, central, and southern Gaza saw artillery shelling and intense gunfire on Thursday. 

In Jabalia refugee camp and the square near the Khulafaa Mosque, ‘Israeli’ military vehicles and helicopters opened heavy fire, targeting shelter centers and displacement tents and causing additional casualties among displaced civilians.

In southern Gaza, an ‘Israeli’ drone struck al-Tina Street in the al-Mawasi area of Qarara, north of Khan Younis, critically wounding one person who was transported to Nasser Medical Complex. Separately, bombs were reported falling east of Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
