Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters issued a stern warning to Washington on Tuesday, threatening to destroy US regional bases and military assets if any Iranian oil tankers are attacked.
Speaking on behalf of the operational command headquarters, spokesman Ibrahim Zolfaghari stated that US forces had issued threats specifically targeting Iranian maritime energy shipments.
"The terrorist US military has threatened to target three Iranian oil tankers," Zolfaghari stated in an official briefing.
The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, which serves as the central operational command coordinating defense forces, underscored that Iranian armed forces are prepared to respond immediately to actions against Iranian naval traffic.
"In the event of any aggression against Iranian ships, the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will severely target US bases and interests in the region," Zolfaghari warned.
The exchange comes amidst heightened military alerts across critical regional shipping routes, as both sides maintain elevated naval postures across strategic waterways.
