Iran’s Fars news agency reported that four people, including a child, were killed in the strikes. Other reports said the casualties occurred in Iran’s southern Sirik region, where a wedding gathering was hit.
The latest escalation follows a renewed breakdown in US-Iran tensions centered on the Strait of Hormuz. Washington has accused Tehran of threatening commercial shipping and US forces in the region, while Iran has condemned the American attacks and vowed retaliation.
The renewed fighting has raised concerns over a broader regional escalation and further disruption to shipping through the strategic waterway, a major route for global energy supplies.
