Palestinian media reported Tuesday that an ‘Israeli’ special unit infiltrated western Gaza City.

The ‘Israeli’ military said later that it struck “several targets” in the Gaza Strip in order to “remove threats” to security forces.
It said there were injuries reported among its forces.

‘Israeli’ defense minister Israel Katz said later that his forces captured a senior Hamas member.
Katz did not reveal who the alleged captured member is.
“A short while ago, a senior Hamas terrorist was arrested. This is our policy: We do not wait for threats, we pursue Hamas terrorists, thwart them, and destroy their terror infrastructure,” Katz says in statements from the settlement of Netiv Haasara, according to Hebrew media.
