Iranian Parliament Speaker Muhammad Bagher Ghalibaf emphasized the need to reduce regional tensions during a meeting with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani in Tehran, Iran’s Tasnim news agency reported.

The two officials discussed the latest regional developments and ongoing efforts to ease tensions, according to the report.

They also exchanged views on creating suitable conditions for the resumption of dialogue as regional tensions continue.

The meeting comes as Qatar steps up diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation and encouraging dialogue among regional parties.
