Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates issued a statement on X strongly condemning 'Israeli' airstrikes that targeted the Abu Duhur military airport in Syria's Idlib governorate, describing the attack as an unjustified aggression and a flagrant violation of Syrian sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The ministry stated that the military action represents a breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.

Official Spokesperson for the Ministry, Ambassador Fouad Al-Majali, emphasized the immediate need to halt all repeated 'Israeli' attacks and measures targeting Syria's security and stability:

"The repeated Israeli attacks and measures targeting Syria's security and stability constitute a violation of the United Nations Charter and a dangerous escalation that will only contribute to further conflict and tension in the region," Ambassador Al-Majali stated.

Ambassador Al-Majali called upon the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities to compel 'Israel' to cease its provocative and illegal attacks on Syria.

The spokesperson further urged international enforcement to end 'Israel's' occupation of Syrian land, emphasizing the necessity of forcing 'Israel' to abide by international law, international legitimacy resolutions, state sovereignty, and non-interference in internal affairs.

Concurrently, the foreign ministry reaffirmed Jordan’s unwavering position in supporting Syria as it rebuilds on foundations that guarantee its unity, sovereignty, security, stability, territorial integrity, and the protection of the rights of all Syrian citizens.
