Sephora is facing backlash from some ‘Israeli’ consumers ahead of its planned entry into the ‘Israeli’ market, with calls for the retailer to exclude Huda Beauty products over founder Huda Kattan’s support for Palestine.

The global cosmetics retailer has generated excitement among ‘Israeli’ beauty influencers and consumers awaiting its first official branches in ‘Israel’. However, social media posts have also featured demands that Huda Beauty products not be sold at the stores.

Kattan, an Iraqi-American entrepreneur, has repeatedly expressed solidarity with Palestinians and criticized ‘Israeli’ aggression in the Gaza Strip, which left over 73,000 killed and over 174,000 wounded. Her position has previously prompted calls from some ‘Israeli’ groups to boycott her brand.

Huda's response

Huda Kattan has remained steadfast in her stance despite facing heavy backlash and boycott calls from pro-'Israel' consumers.

When an 'Israeli' follower threatened to stop purchasing her cosmetics over her pro-Palestinian advocacy, Kattan famously responded on Instagram, "I don't want blood money."

Refusing to be silenced or intimidated by threats to her company's bottom line, she publicly declared that she was willing to risk her entire business in the pursuit of truth, justice, and human rights for Palestinians in Gaza.

Furthermore, Kattan has rejected accusations against her, dismissing criticism as a coordinated smear campaign intended to silence high-profile voices who speak out against civilian suffering and military violence.
