Burger King responds after viral 'Free Palestine' confrontation in Pennsylvania

Burger King has issued a public statement after a confrontation at one of its Pennsylvania restaurants involving an employee and an 'Israeli' customer went viral on social media, reiterating that it has "zero tolerance" for discrimination.

The incident occurred earlier this week at a Burger King restaurant in Breinigsville, Pennsylvania, and involved man named Rami Feinstein and an employee identified as Ariana.

According to video shared by Feinstein, the employee noticed his Star of David necklace and asked where he was from. After he said he was from 'Israel', she told him "Free Palestine" during the exchange. 

Responding in a comment from its official social media account, Burger King apologized for the incident.

"We are very sorry to hear about your experience. Burger King is a place where everyone should feel welcome, respected and free from discrimination. We have no tolerance for antisemitism, hate, or discrimination of any kind. We are working with the franchisee that owns and operates this restaurant to address this situation," the company said.

Following the video's widespread circulation, social media users said the employee had been fired. However, neither Burger King nor the employee has publicly confirmed any disciplinary action.

The incident generated significant support for the employee across social media, with many users praising her actions and expressing support for Palestine. Comments included, "Let's all support Ariana," "We love you, Arianna," "She said what she said," "Love Ariana sooo much," and numerous posts reading "Free Palestine" accompanied by Palestinian flag emojis.

The confrontation has fueled broader online debate, with some users calling for accountability over the interaction while others defended the employee's political expression and voiced solidarity with the Palestinian cause.
