More than 100 ‘Israeli’ soldiers from the Givati Brigade went on a strike after what Hebrew media said was a confrontation with their commander at the Sde Teiman military base.
The soldiers reportedly walked out after the destruction of battalion signs and artwork linked to the unit's traditions, which was seen as insulting by the troops.
Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) said the incident was under investigation and described the actions as inconsistent with army values.

The fighters then left the facility taking their personal belongings with them, leaving behind weapons and military equipment.
The battalion commander reportedly informed the soldiers that those who returned to the base by 4:00 p.m. would not face punishment.
