  • The 'Israeli' prime minister claimed he has "special forces" around him in case he is detained abroad.

'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Tuesday that he is accompanied by "special forces" in case he is arrested while traveling abroad, as he confirmed plans to attend the United Nations General Assembly in New York this September.

Speaking in an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, Netanyahu said he would not cancel his planned visit despite calls by New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani for his arrest should he enter the city.

Netanyahu said he intends to travel to New York for the annual UN General Assembly, dismissing suggestions that legal risks would alter his plans.

He claimed to have "special forces around" him in case of an arrest abroad, adding, "I served with them for five years."
