'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that he has instructed military forces to launch wide-scale search and arrest operations across Palestinian villages in the occupied West Bank following Friday's deadly clashes in the village of Tell.

Speaking during a special cabinet meeting convened specifically to discuss the escalating security situation in the West Bank, Netanyahu confirmed that troops were ordered to enter Palestinian localities to "seize weapons and make arrests."

Netanyahu warns of broader operations

During the special session, Netanyahu signaled that current raid operations could expand further across the territory.

"We are also prepared to act on a broader scale against nests of terror," Netanyahu stated, outlining the government's military response to the violent confrontation near the settlement of Havat Gilad and neighboring Tell.

The Friday morning clashes left two 'Israeli' soldiers dead and several others injured, alongside four Palestinian fatalities.

Raid directives amid rising settler violence, military abuses

Netanyahu’s military directives come as settler attacks and military abuses were already surging significantly across the occupied West Bank.

In the hours preceding and following the government announcement, groups of 'Israeli' settlers carried out widespread reprisal raids on surrounding Palestinian communities setting fire to homes, vehicles, and commercial properties under the pretext of retaliation.
