Sirens sounded in Bahrain on Sunday morning amid no let up in the exchanges of fire between Iran and the US.

It marks the seventh time in less than 48 hours that sirens have been set off in the Gulf nation, according to Bahrain’s interior ministry.

In a post on X, the ministry instructed citizens to remain calm and head to the nearest safe space.

Meanwhile, the country’s network Bahrain TV reported Sunday that the country’s air defenses had intercepted and destroyed Iranian attacks in Bahrain’s airspace.

Bahrain hosts US military facilities and has been a frequent target of Iranian reprisal attacks.
