Day 121 | Trump threatens to annihilate Iran after renewed attacks
US President Donald Trump said Saturday that Iran would "no longer exist" if the United States is "forced" to resume the war, as he accused Tehran of violating a ceasefire.
The threat came after US forces said they struck "multiple" Iranian targets Saturday in another tit-for-tat response to attacks on shipping in the vital Strait of Hormuz.
"United States aircraft just struck Iranian missile and drone storage locations, and coastal radar sites, for violating the Cease Fire Agreement, AGAIN!" Trump wrote on Truth Social.
"There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable, and will be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started. If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist!" Trump wrote.
The clashes brought new tension to the negotiating process meant to end a war launched by the United States and ‘Israel’ at the end of February.
US Central Command said Saturday's strikes were in response to an Iranian drone attack on the Panama-flagged oil tanker "Kiku," which was carrying some two million barrels of crude.
The US military said the latest response targeted "surveillance infrastructure, communication systems, air defense sites, drone storage facilities, and minelayer capabilities."
Iranian media reported several explosions in the Sirik and Qeshm areas of southern Iran.
On Friday, the United States also conducted strikes that it said were in response to another Iranian attack on a ship, the "Ever Lovely."

IRGC says targeted US bases in Kuwait and Bahrain
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said Sunday morning that its forces carried out attacks on US bases in Kuwait and Bahrain, after the US military targets Iranian targets in coastal cities near the Strait of Hormuz.
“During a joint missile and drone operation…the IRGC destroyed eight important infrastructures of the child-killing US army at the Ali Salem base in Kuwait and the Fifth Naval Fleet in Port Salman, Bahrain,” the IRGC said in a statement cited by Iranian media.
“The aggressor enemy [earlier] attacked five coastal posts of the Islamic Republic early this morning,” it said.
It said that based on the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, maritime traffic in the Hormuz Strait must be in coordination with Tehran.
“From now on, offending ships will be dealt with more forcefully than in the past, and dealing with a possible enemy aggression under any pretext, even if the aggressions are against minor targets like last night and tonight, will have a crushing response,” it further warned.

Lebanon's president Joseph Aoun told his US counterpart Donald Trump on Saturday that the Lebanese state will assume responsibility for implementing a recent agreement reached with ‘Israel’, his office said.
Aoun "said the Lebanese state would assume its responsibilities in implementing the framework agreement and expressed hope that the United States would help prevent any violations of the deal and ensure that all commitments are fulfilled, notably by pressuring Israel to withdraw from the areas it occupies in southern Lebanon to facilitate the deployment of the Lebanese army up to the international border," Aoun's office said in a statement.
