Netanyahu ties Lebanon withdrawal to Hezbollah disarmament

‘Israeli’ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said ‘Israeli’ forces will not withdraw from Lebanon unless Hezbollah is disarmed, according to ‘Israeli’ Army Radio.

He reportedly defined limited “pilot areas” north of the Litani River and another north of the security buffer zone as part of a controlled approach to deployment and security arrangements.

Netanyahu said these pilot zones would not affect the scope of the existing buffer area, which he indicated will remain under ‘Israeli’ military control.
