  • Foreign Ministers denounce attacks on mosques as violations of international law.
  • 'Israel' held responsible as the occupying Power; calls grow to end impunity.
  • Statement reaffirms support for a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

In a major display of multilateral diplomatic coordination, the Foreign Ministers of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, Türkiye, Pakistan, and Indonesia issued a blistering joint statement on Thursday, condemning what they described as a dangerous and escalating campaign of settler violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.

The high-level communique, released from Amman, specifically highlighted recent physical assaults targeting Islamic holy sites north of Ramallah.

The ministers expressed profound outrage over targeted attacks against the Grand Mosque in the village of Jiljilya and Al-Farouq Mosque in the village of Mazar’a al-Nubani.

The coalition emphasized that these hostilities constitute a flagrant violation of the historical sanctity of religious spaces, international law, and relevant United Nations resolutions.

'Israel' accountable for hostilities

The diplomatic front rejected the recent wave of settler aggression alongside what they termed continuous, illegal measures implemented by occupation forces across the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

According to the ministers, these systemic policies act as a primary catalyst fueling regional instability, ongoing violence, and extremism, while directly undermining international mechanisms tasked with brokering a broader peace framework.

The eight signatory nations explicitly placed the blame for the deteriorating security landscape on the governing authorities in Jerusalem.

"They hold 'Israel', the occupying Power, responsible for these attacks," the joint statement declared. "The Ministers reiterated their call for the international community to uphold its legal and moral responsibilities and compel 'Israel' to halt its dangerous escalation in the occupied West Bank."

The declaration placed special emphasis on the complete lack of domestic accountability inside the territory, demanding that international state actors intervene to enforce international humanitarian law, halt illegal administrative practices, and ensure that the perpetrators behind the structural crimes do not enjoy continued legal impunity.

Reaffirming 1967 lines

The communique concluded with an expansive reaffirmation of regional and international legal baselines, signaling that the ongoing friction in the West Bank has only unified Islamic and Arab foreign policy priorities.

The ministers re-pledged their unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people, backing their inalienable national right to self-determination.

The block reiterated that long-term stabilization remains entirely contingent on ending the 'Israeli' occupation through a just, lasting, and comprehensive peace agreement.

The foreign ministers stated that such an outcome can only be achieved via a two-state solution that guarantees the creation of an independent, fully sovereign Palestinian State established along the historical 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem recognized as its rightful capital, in full alignment with the established Arab Peace Initiative.
