The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an aggressive diplomatic briefing on Monday, asserting that a complete halt to military hostilities on all operational fronts -specifically including Lebanon- is a permanent, unalterable core component of its emerging memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the United States.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei stated that Tehran is strictly monitoring regional compliance and will implement all necessary measures to ensure the American administration honors its bilateral commitments.

The declaration lands amid volatile friction as international mediators race to lock down a 60-day regional de-escalation window.

Addressing the devastating weekend wave of 'Israeli' airstrikes that targeted residential blocks in Beirut’s southern suburbs (Dahiyeh), Baghaei pushed a defiant counter-narrative.

Rather than viewing the escalation as a setback to the delicate diplomatic track, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson claimed the aggressive military maneuver backfired strategically.

"The Israeli terrorism witnessed in Dahiyeh yesterday has been transformed into a distinct opportunity to secure the highest degree of interests for both Iran and the Axis of Resistance," Baghaei asserted.

He suggested that the scale of the strikes has only solidified regional unity and strengthened Tehran's bargaining position.

The Foreign Ministry emphasized that the initial security framework hammered out with US interlocutors explicitly treats Lebanon's territorial integrity and political sovereignty as baseline prerequisites.

Tehran’s firm rhetoric signals that while it is willing to advance the performance-based framework -which includes key maritime concessions like reopening the Strait of Hormuz- it will completely reject any diplomatic layout that permits ongoing, unilateral cross-border operations by the 'Israeli' military.
