- UNRWA USA launches “Your Gift is a Goal for Gaza” campaign with limited-edition jersey by Palestinian artist Bint Bandora.
UNRWA USA has launched a new fundraising campaign coinciding with the start of the World Cup, offering a limited-edition jersey designed by Palestinian artist Bint Bandora to new monthly donors who sign up as “Solidarity Sustainers.”
The campaign, titled “Your Gift is a Goal for Gaza,” invites supporters to make recurring donations that go toward UNRWA programs supporting Palestinian refugees across Gaza, the West Bank (including East Jerusalem), Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria.

The exclusive jersey, created by Bint Bandora, incorporates cultural and symbolic elements including the traditional keffiyeh pattern on the sleeves, olive branches, the Gaza sunbird, a gazelle, and waves representing the coastline. At the center of the design are three children playing football, two of whom are depicted as amputees.
UNRWA USA says the jersey is intended as a statement of solidarity and awareness, emphasizing the right of children in Gaza to play, live in dignity, and access safety. The organization says that wearing the jersey represents support for humanitarian efforts providing education, psychosocial assistance, and emergency relief to children affected by the ongoing conflict.
The launch comes as global attention turns to the World Cup, with UNRWA USA highlighting the contrast between the celebration of football worldwide and the situation faced by children in Gaza.
The Palestinian Football Association has reported that more than 400 footballers have been killed since October 2023. Meanwhile, in Gaza, football continues in difficult conditions, with local teams such as Gaza Al Irada, made up of amputee players, continuing to play in the ruins of Gaza City’s Palestine Stadium.
UNRWA USA is encouraging supporters to pre-order the jersey through its official campaign page, stating: “Your gift is a goal for Gaza.”
