Day 101 | Iran launches missiles at 'Israel' amid escalation over Beirut attack
Iran launched multiple waves of missiles toward northern 'Israel' on Sunday night, marking its first direct bombardment of 'Israeli' territory since a fragile ceasefire took effect in early April.
Iran's state broadcaster IRIB confirmed the attack, warning that strikes would continue if 'Israel' responds militarily or fails to halt its operations in Lebanon.
According to 'Israel's' Channel 12, Tehran fired three waves of missiles, including a salvo of four missiles. Initial reports indicated damage in the northern city of Tiberias. The 'Israeli' military said all incoming missiles were intercepted by air defense systems.
The attack prompted 'Israeli' authorities to temporarily suspend operations at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv.
The escalation came hours after an 'Israeli' airstrike targeted Beirut's southern suburbs, killing at least two people and injuring 11 others, according to Lebanese reports.
'Israeli' officials vowed a "powerful" response to the missile attack, while Tehran warned of further action if 'Israeli' operations in Lebanon continue.
US President Donald Trump urged Iran to return to negotiations, telling Fox News that the missile strikes were "certainly not going to help" efforts to end the conflict. "Get back to the table and make a deal," Trump said. Trump also expressed dissatisfaction with the 'Israeli' strike on Beirut and told Axios he would urge 'Israel' not to retaliate against Iran.
The latest exchange comes as the conflict reaches its 100th day, with diplomatic efforts to secure a lasting peace appearing increasingly stalled amid renewed military escalation.

Trump asked Netanyahu not to respond to Iranian attack, sources say
According to 'Israel’s' Channel 12, Trump urged Netanyahu not to retaliate against Iran and to allow a few more days for negotiations, while a senior US official said he does not expect an imminent 'Israeli' strike.
"I call all the shots. He doesn’t call the shots," Trump about Netanyahu
US President Donald Trump said 'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will have “no choice” but to accept any agreement Washington reaches with Iran, insisting that the United States “calls the shots.”
“He won’t have any choice. I call the shots. I call all the shots,” Trump said in an interview with the Financial Times, adding that Netanyahu “doesn’t call the shots.”
Trump’s comments came shortly after Iran launched a series of ballistic missiles toward ‘Israel’, marking its first direct bombardment of 'Israeli' territory since a fragile ceasefire took effect in early April.
The escalation came hours after an 'Israeli' airstrike targeted Beirut's southern suburbs, killing at least two people and injuring 11 others, according to Lebanese reports.

US diplomacy continues despite attacks
Despite the latest missile strikes, Trump said the developments would not alter his administration’s approach to ongoing negotiations with Iran.
“It’s not going to have any impact on the deal,” he said, adding that talks “may make it on its own merit, or not.”
However, he acknowledged uncertainty over the outcome of the negotiations, noting: “We’ll see what happens.”
Military options remain on the table
Trump also indicated that failure to reach a deal could lead to military or enforcement measures, including a possible commando raid or continued pressure through blockade policies.
“It would mean that possibly we would go in and take care of the rest of the place that we didn’t take care of militarily,” he said.
Trump says Netanyahu "won’t have any choice" but to accept an Iran deal
US President Donald Trump said 'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would have no choice but to accept any agreement reached between Washington and Tehran, asserting that he alone controls US policy toward Iran.
Speaking to the Financial Times on Sunday, Trump dismissed suggestions that Netanyahu could influence the outcome of ongoing US-Iran diplomacy.
“I call the shots. I call all the shots. He doesn’t call the shots,” Trump said. Asked whether Netanyahu would have to accept a deal negotiated by Washington, Trump replied: “He won’t have any choice.”
Trump also downplayed the significance of Iran’s missile attack on Israel on Sunday night, saying it would not affect efforts to secure an agreement with Tehran.
“It’s not going to have any impact on the deal,” Trump said. “We’ll see how it ends up. But they were attacks that did not kick at all.”
The comments come amid renewed tensions between Trump and Netanyahu over regional security issues. Last week, Trump said he was “perturbed” by 'Israel’s' planned military operations in Lebanon as the United States pursued diplomatic efforts aimed at reaching a peace agreement with Iran.
Despite the latest exchange of hostilities between Iran and 'Israel', Trump indicated that negotiations with Tehran remain on track.
