The State of Kuwait has issued a scathing condemnation against Iran following a dawn assault on Saturday, labeling the incident a dangerous escalation that directly threatens regional stability and civilian lives.

In an official statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kuwait denounced what it described as "repeated Iranian aggressions," accusing Tehran of showing complete indifference to international appeals for restraint.

International law violation

The foreign ministry emphasized that the latest attack constitutes a flagrant violation of Kuwait's national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and internal security.

Kuwaiti officials stressed that Iran's actions represent a blatant breach of the United Nations Charter, standard rules of international law, and specifically UN Security Council Resolution 2817, which was passed earlier this year in 2026.

The ministry noted that this "sinful" assault comes at a highly volatile time, deliberately undermining ongoing diplomatic efforts by the international community to halt combat operations and reduce friction across the region.

"These aggressions cannot be justified or accepted under any pretext," the statement read.

Right to respond reserved

While global powers have been exerting tireless efforts to spare the region from further turmoil, Kuwait signaled that its patience with unilateral cross-border threats has worn thin.

Concluding its statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated that the State of Kuwait reserves its full right under international frameworks to take all necessary measures.

The government affirmed it will do whatever is required to preserve its national security, defend its borders, and safeguard its vital facilities against any impending aggression.
