An ‘Israeli’ airstrike has completely destroyed the renowned restaurant and resort owned by Chef Hussein Fayad in Wadi al-Hujair, southern Lebanon.

The facility, known as 'Arsh al-Muluk' or Throne of Kings, was celebrated for its distinctive stone architecture, scenic views, swimming pool, and role as a popular tourist destination.

Chef Fayad, a prominent Lebanese culinary figure with a substantial social media following for his traditional recipes, expressed profound grief over the loss.

He stated that the site represented years of hard work and cherished memories, which have now been reduced to ashes.

Prior to the destruction, the resort had served as a haven and aid kitchen, providing meals to displaced communities during the conflict.

The strike occurred late on Saturday, despite an existing US-brokered ceasefire that took effect in April and was subsequently extended.

‘Israeli’ forces continue operations in southern Lebanon, while both sides accuse each other of truce violations.

Parts of the south reportedly remain under Israeli occupation or influence.

Over one million people have been displaced in recent phases of the conflict, exacerbating humanitarian concerns in the region.

Chef Fayad had gained recognition for his efforts to support displaced populations by preparing meals amid the hostilities.

His establishment was regarded as one of the most beautiful destinations in southern Lebanon before its demolition.
