'Israeli' military targets Hamas finance network chief

The 'Israeli' military announced that it has successfully eliminated the head of a primary Hamas financial network during a targeted airstrike in the southern Gaza Strip city of Khan Yunis.

According to military statements released on Tuesday, the operation was executed under the authority of the 'Israeli' military's Southern Command to neutralize what it described as an "immediate threat" to 'Israeli' forces and civilians.

Funneling Al-Qassam

The primary target of the aerial strike was identified as Ihab Khrizim, a central figure in Hamas' financial infrastructure.

Military intelligence officials stated that Khrizim was directly responsible for managing and executing the transfer of millions of dollars directly into the coffers of Hamas’ military wing.

The military asset asserted that Khrizim had actively undermined regional security frameworks over the last few months.

"In recent months, Khrizim continued to violate the ceasefire agreement, and his activities enabled the terrorist organization to execute imminent attacks against 'Israeli' military troops and 'Israeli' civilians." Said the official statement from the 'Israeli' Military

Defense analysts noted that the removal of Khrizim from the financial network constitutes a significant, long-term blow to Hamas’ broader rehabilitation and military force-building efforts across the blockaded enclave.

Weapons manufacturer

The 'Israeli' military confirmed that Khrizim was not the only high-level operative neutralized during the operation.

The airstrike also eliminated Mohammed al-Habash, a prominent unit commander operating within Hamas’ weapons production headquarters.

Intelligence reports indicate that al-Habash had been a key figure throughout the duration of the war, participating directly in the manufacturing of weapons and munitions used by the group's fighters.

Ceasefire posture

The 'Israeli' military concluded by reaffirming its operational posture in the region, noting that 'Israeli' military troops operating under the Southern Command remain actively deployed in accordance with the standing ceasefire agreement.

However, leadership reiterated that forces will continue to intervene and operate decisively to dismantle any immediate threats to state security.
