Day 86 | Trump says agreement with Iran “largely negotiated”
US President Donald Trump said Saturday that Iran and the US had "largely negotiated" a deal that included opening the Strait of Hormuz, but the draft was "subject to finalization."
"An Agreement has been largely negotiated, subject to finalization between the United States of America, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the various other Countries," Trump wrote on Truth Social, referring to multiple Middle East nations.
"In addition to many other elements of the Agreement, the Strait of Hormuz will be opened."
Trump also said he spoke with ‘Israeli’ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a separate phone call, saying it went “very well”.
"I had a call with Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, of Israel, which, likewise, went very well," Trump said in a Truth Social post.

Iran has agreed to the proposed peace draft deal with the United States, according to The New York Times citing three officials.
The agreement will stop fighting across the Middle East, including Lebanon, and would also open the Strait of Hormuz.
The US Naval blockade will be lifted, and the $25 billion in frozen Iranian assets will be released.
