Iran’s deputy foreign minister, Kazem Gharibabadi, has blamed the United States, Western countries and ‘Israel’ after the 11th Review Conference of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty concluded without reaching a consensus agreement.
In a post on X, Gharibabadi accused Western governments of attempting to “swap the roles of aggressor and victim” while criticizing recent US-‘Israeli’ attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities.
“The responsibility for this failure lies with these countries,” Gharibabadi wrote, referring to the breakdown of the conference.
He added that Iran would not allow what he described as the “instrumental abuse” of international forums and documents for political purposes.
