US Ambassador to ‘Israel’ Mike Huckabee stated on Tuesday that the disarmament of Hamas in Gaza is certain to occur, though he acknowledged uncertainty regarding the responsible party.

Speaking at the Tel Aviv Conference, Huckabee claimed the issue is one of timing and execution rather than possibility.

“It’s a matter of when, and who will do it.” Huckabee admitted.

“Who’s going to do the actual disarming? I don’t know”.

The ambassador explicitly ruled out a primary role for the International Stabilization Force in disarming the group.

He described the force as “not so much a military force as it is a monitoring-the-border force,” focused on oversight rather than direct combat or disarmament operations.

Huckabee suggested that the ‘Israeli’ military could ultimately bear responsibility if no other entity steps forward.

“It could end up that the only entity willing to do it is the IDF,” he noted, reflecting ongoing discussions about security responsibilities in Gaza following the conflict.
