- Remarks follow Trump’s comments casting doubt on ceasefire stability.
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf warned on Monday that Tehran is prepared for all possible scenarios and would deliver a forceful response to any attack, following recent remarks by US President Donald Trump questioning the durability of the ceasefire between Washington and Iran.
In a post on X, Qalibaf said Iran’s armed forces stand ready to retaliate against any aggression.
“Our armed forces are prepared to respond and teach a lesson in the face of any attack,” he wrote.
Qalibaf said Iran is fully prepared for any escalation and suggested that any hostile action would be met with an unexpected response.
“We are ready for every possibility. They will be surprised,” he said.
He also criticized what he described as flawed strategic calculations by Iran’s adversaries.
“A bad strategy and bad decisions always lead to bad results, and the whole world has realized that,” he added.
The comments came after Trump said the ceasefire agreement between Washington and Tehran had become increasingly fragile, raising fresh concerns over the stability of the truce.
Qalibaf’s remarks underscore heightened tensions as diplomatic efforts continue alongside growing speculation over possible renewed military confrontation.
