Khamenei meets military brass to discuss new wartime strategy

In a significant meeting in Tehran on Sunday,  the Commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Major General Abdollahi, presented a comprehensive readiness report to the Supreme Leader and Commander-in-Chief, Mojtaba Khamenei.

The briefing covered the strategic status of the Army, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Law Enforcement, and the Basij volunteer forces.

General Abdollahi emphasized that Iranian rangelands and frontline units have achieved a peak level of "offensive and defensive" readiness.

He noted that the armed forces have updated their strategic plans and localized their weaponry to neutralize any "strategic errors" or potential aggression from the United States and its regional allies.

Vow of "high-intensity" retaliation

During the briefing, the General provided a solemn assurance on behalf of the entire military apparatus, stating that the armed forces remain fully committed to the Supreme Leader's commands.

"In the event of any strategic error, encroachment, or aggression by the enemy, our response will be characterized by extreme speed, high intensity, and overwhelming power," Abdollahi reported.

He reiterated that the military is prepared to defend the sovereignty and national interests of the Iranian people "until the last breath," warning that any aggressor would be made to "deeply regret" their hostile intentions.

New directives

Mojtaba Khamenei expressed his gratitude for the courage and steadfastness of the nation's rangelands.

Reflecting on the recent "War of Ramadan," the Supreme Leader praised the military for achieving "astonishing victories" that thwarted the enemy's primary objectives.

Following the report, he issued a set of "new and groundbreaking directives" designed to:

1. Strengthen deterrence: Enhancing the "target bank" for precision strikes.
2. Modernize defense: Integrating new technologies to counter regional attacks.
3. Ensure internal security: Maintaining psychological and physical stability within Iran's borders during the ongoing reconstruction phase.
