The incident took place on April 29 in front of the Cenacle holy site in Jerusalem, when Schreiber ran up to the French nun and shoved her to the ground then proceeded to kick her while she was down.
The nun suffered a bloody head injury and dizziness, according to the indictment cited by Hebrew media.
He is indicted for assault on the nun, and also on the passerby who tried to intervene.
Assault causing actual bodily harm carries a sentence of up to three years in ‘Israeli’ prison.
