  • GCC Secretary-General condemns Iran’s statements against the UAE and reaffirms Gulf solidarity with Abu Dhabi.

Jassim Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), on Wednesday strongly condemned and rejected what he described as “false and unacceptable allegations” made in a statement by Iran’s Foreign Ministry against the United Arab Emirates.

In an official statement, Al-Budaiwi said the misleading claims are part of what he called Iran’s escalating and provocative approach toward regional countries. He noted that Tehran has not only carried out “aggressive attacks” targeting UAE territory but also continued attempts to distort facts, in violation of international norms and laws.

He stressed that the Iranian statement reflects a clear intent to fuel tensions and undermine regional security and stability, adding that it demonstrates what he described as Iran’s hostile approach that threatens the safety of the region and its people.

Al-Budaiwi reaffirmed the GCC’s unified stance in support of the UAE and its measures to safeguard its security, stability, and sovereignty, emphasizing that the security of the UAE is inseparable from the security of all Gulf Cooperation Council states.
