  • 'Israeli' MOD has approved a massive multi-billion-dollar deal to acquire two new F-35 and F-15IA fighter squadrons.

Claiming to solidify long-term air superiority, the Ministerial Committee on Procurement has officially approved the 'Israeli' Ministry of Defense’s plan to simultaneously acquire two new fighter squadrons.

The deal includes a fourth squadron of Lockheed Martin F-35s and a second squadron of Boeing F-15IAs.

The acquisition, valued at tens of billions of NIS, is the first major execution of a decade-long force buildup plan. This strategic initiative was recently approved by the 'Israeli' Prime Minister and Defense Minister under a massive 350-billion-NIS dedicated budget.

Alleged strengthening readiness

Defense Minister Israel Katz and Ministry Director General Maj. Gen. (Res.) Amir Baram presented the procurement as a vital step in addressing evolving regional threats.

The ministry’s broader strategy aims to ensure the 'Israeli' military remains prepared for what officials describe as a "demanding decade" for national security.

The agreement covers more than just the airframes; it includes:

Full fleet integration: Incorporating the jets into existing 'Israeli' Air Force structures.
Sustainment & logistics: Long-term maintenance, spare parts, and comprehensive support systems.
Strategic superiority: Enhancing the military’s ability to strike deep into "hostile" territory while maintaining stealth and electronic warfare dominance.

Finalizing American agreements

Following the committee's green light, the Director General has instructed the procurement mission in the United States to finalize the formal agreements with the US government and defense contractors.

The F-35 squadron will bolster 'Israel's' fifth-generation stealth capabilities, while the F-15IA -a customized "advanced" variant of the F-15EX- is designed to carry heavy weapon loads for long-range missions.

These additions are considered the "cornerstone" of the 'Israeli' military’s future offensive power, ensuring that even as regional conflicts shift, the air force retains a decisive technological edge over its adversaries.
