A 16-year-old Palestinian boy, identified as Mohammad Majdi Al-Jaabari, was killed on Tuesday after being struck by a vehicle belonging to an 'Israeli' security convoy near the city of Hebron in the southern West Bank.

Incident on the way to school

The incident occurred at the Beit Einun intersection on Route 60, a major roadway that leads to the Kiryat Arba settlement. According to local reports, Al-Jaabari was riding his bicycle on his way to school when he was hit by the security vehicle.

Convoy details and official responses

The vehicle involved is part of the "Magen" unit, which is responsible for the protection of high-ranking 'Israeli' officials. Security sources indicated that the convoy was en route to secure 'Israeli' Settlements Minister Orit Strock at the time of the collision.

Following the incident, the office of 'Israeli' National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir released a statement denying that the convoy belonged to him.
