  • Iran’s ambassador to Russia says US and ‘Israel’ failed to achieve goals through military action.
  • Tehran warns negotiations will not deliver what war could not.

Iran’s ambassador to Russia says the United States and ‘Israel’ failed to achieve their objectives in military operations against Iran and will not succeed in future negotiations.

Kazem Jalali made the remarks in an interview with the Russian newspaper Vedomosti, arguing that pressure tactics had already proven ineffective.

‘Attacks have failed’

Jalali said Western and ‘Israeli’ claims about the effectiveness of military pressure on Iran had not materialized.

“They stated that they could conquer all of Iran in a few days and carry out regime change,” he said. “Question: in which of their tasks have they achieved success? Not in one. The attacks on Iran by the United States and ‘Israel’ have failed.”

He added that shifting US demands during the conflict reflected a lack of clear strategic success, moving from broader political goals toward narrower security objectives.

Claims over maritime pressure

Jalali also referred to reported US pressure on maritime routes, saying early objectives included attempts to influence control over strategic waterways.

“At first they wanted regime change, but they got to the point where they only wanted to open the Strait of Hormuz,” he said. “It fails. And the naval blockade he announced does not make any sense, because we have an iron will for further actions.”

Negotiations under pressure

The Iranian envoy argued that military pressure would not translate into diplomatic leverage.

“What Trump did not achieve during the war, he will no longer be able to achieve during negotiations,” Jalali said. “Negotiations mean that people must reach a fair compromise based on a win-win position.”

He also claimed that Iran had initially engaged with a 10-point proposal before disengagement, though he did not provide details of the plan.

The remarks come amid continued strain between Tehran and Washington over sanctions, security issues, and regional military escalation involving ‘Israel’.

While diplomatic channels remain limited, both sides have periodically signaled openness to negotiations, though without concrete progress.
