A pro-Iranian military social media account has sparked widespread attention online after posting a humorous video that portrays US President Donald Trump as a frustrated baby throwing a tantrum while desperately reaching for the Strait of Hormuz.
The clip, simply captioned “NO!”, was shared on Sunday by the X account @IRMilitaryMedia and has since amassed more than 1.4 million views.

The 22-second video shows a toddler labeled “Trump” over a map of the Persian Gulf, repeatedly reaching for the “Strait of Hormuz.” As it fails to grab the strategic waterway, the child breaks into exaggerated cries.
The post appears to satirize US efforts to pressure Iran over control of the strait, a critical artery through which roughly one-fifth of the world’s oil supply passes. It comes just one day after US forces seized an Iranian-flagged cargo ship, the Touska, near the waterway, the first such interception since Washington imposed a naval blockade on Iranian ports earlier this month.
Tensions have escalated rapidly in recent weeks. Iran briefly reopened the strait last week following a fragile ceasefire but reimposed restrictions after accusing the US of violating trust by maintaining its blockade. President Trump has threatened to target Iranian civilian infrastructure if Tehran does not comply with US demands, while Iranian officials have vowed a swift response to any further provocations.
@IRMilitaryMedia describes itself as an “independent media” outlet focused on “news and analysis related to Iran’s military and the region.” While not an official government channel, such accounts often amplify Tehran’s messaging through memes and viral content.
