Alleged ceasefire breach

According to a military statement, forces from the 401st Brigade spotted the group approaching their positions south of the forward defense line.

Claiming the cell's movements breached ongoing ceasefire understandings, the ‘Israeli’ Air Force conducted a rapid strike to "remove the threat," resulting in the deaths of the operatives.

In a separate incident in the same region, ‘Israeli’ forces reported striking an underground tunnel entrance.

The military stated it monitored Hezbollah operatives entering the tunnel before launching the attack, claiming a "direct hit."

Justifying military action

Addressing the strikes amid the ceasefire, the 'Israeli' military justified the actions as necessary self-defense measures, noting that it operates under directives from the political echelon.

The statement emphasized that "self-defense operations and the removal of threats are not restricted by ceasefire understandings."

The military further reiterated its commitment to taking all necessary measures to ensure the security of its citizens and soldiers, adding that it will continue working to "cleanse" the areas currently under its control from any perceived threats.
