The UAE said Wednesday that Iran should pay for damage caused by its Gulf attacks, adding that it was seeking clarification on how the ceasefire will ensure Tehran ceases hostilities and reopens the Strait of Hormuz.

The UAE "is seeking further clarification on the agreement's provisions to ensure Iran's full commitment to an immediate cessation of all hostilities in the region and the complete and unconditional reopening of the Strait of Hormuz", its foreign ministry said in a statement.

Iranian attacks "necessitate a firm position, including ensuring that Iran is held accountable and fully liable for damages and reparations", it added.

The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defense has announced that its national air defense systems are currently engaging with active missile and drone attacks originating from Iran.

The defense ministry confirmed the ongoing military response, stating that the nation's air defense systems are actively intercepting a barrage of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

US President Donald Trump said Wednesday that Iran can start its reconstruction process, as he hailed the two-week ceasefire as a “big day for world peace”.

‘Israeli’ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a statement Wednesday morning welcoming the ceasefire deal between the United States and Iran.

Iranian state media said that US President Donald Trump agreed to Iran’s conditions to end the war.

Tasnim News Agency said that more details regarding the ceasefire will be released later by Iran.

Iran’s National Security Council said that negotiations will take place in Islamabad, Pakistan, to put the final touches on the agreement.

‘Israel's’ military warned early Wednesday that Iran had fired missiles toward it.

"The (Israeli army) identified missiles launched from Iran toward the territory of the State of Israel. Defensive systems are operating to intercept the threat," the military said on its official Telegram channel.

US media reported Wednesday that a ceasefire with Iran is being negotiated by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, with US Vice President JD Vance serving as the US “interlocutor in the talks” - according to sources cited by CBS News.

Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif said earlier that his country offered a deal that involves a two-week ceasefire in which Iran would also open the Strait of Hormuz.

Saudi Arabia's defence ministry said Wednesday its military had intercepted five missiles fired towards the kingdom's east while Iran presses an aerial campaign against its neighbours.

The ministry's spokesperson announced the "interception and destruction of five ballistic missiles launched towards the eastern region", after overnight attacks the previous day hit a petrochemical complex in the eastern city of Jubail.

Two civilians, one of them an eight-year-old child, were killed late on Tuesday in Baghdad when a projectile crashed into their home, causing a fire, a police source told AFP.

"Three other civilians, including a woman, were wounded" in the western Amiriya district of the Iraqi capital, according to the source. A security official told AFP earlier that "a rocket fell on a house in the Amiriya district".

Reports also said the “Fajr Petrochemical Complex” in Mahshahr was hit.

The Qatari Ministry of Interior said Wednesday that debris resulting from interceptions of Iranian missiles resulted in four moderate injuries, including a child.

The debris fell on a Qatari citizen’s home in the Muraikh area, according to the statement.

‘Israel's’ military warned residents of Tyre in southern Lebanon to evacuate late Tuesday as it continued to fight Hezbollah.

"Urgent warning to the residents of the city of Tyre, specifically in Shabriha... you must evacuate your homes immediately," the ‘Israeli’ military's Arabic-language spokesman, Avichay Adraee, wrote on Telegram, illustrated by an image of the area to be targeted with a tower block highlighted.
