Trump said Noem, who served as secretary during his administration, will move to a new role as special envoy for the “Shield of the Americas,” a security initiative in the Western Hemisphere that he said will be announced Saturday in Doral.

“I thank Kristi for her service at Homeland,” Trump wrote, praising her performance, particularly on border security.

New appointment
Trump highlighted Mullin’s political career, noting that he served 10 years in the United States House of Representatives and three years in the United States Senate.

He described Mullin as a strong supporter of his “America First” agenda and noted his background as a former undefeated professional mixed martial arts fighter.

Trump also emphasized that Mullin is the only Native American serving in the Senate, calling him “a fantastic advocate for our tribal communities.”

According to Trump, Mullin will focus on securing US borders, combating migrant-related crime, and tackling illegal drug trafficking as part of his priorities once he assumes the position.
