Qatar foils foreign-backed plot, arrests 10 suspects

Qatar’s state news agency reported that security authorities have thwarted a plot led by external actors, resulting in the arrest of two cells operating inside the country.
According to the agency, the two groups were working directly for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Espionage, sabotage roles uncovered
Authorities said intensive surveillance and monitoring operations led to the arrest of 10 suspects linked to the cells.
Seven of those detained were assigned intelligence and espionage tasks on behalf of Tehran, the agency stated.
The remaining three were tasked with carrying out sabotage operations targeting vital facilities within the country.
With the dismantling of the two cells, regional tensions remain high amid concerns over Iranian-linked activities ranging from direct military confrontation to covert security operations.
