  • He urges the government to suspend any planned arms and military equipment deals with ‘Israel,’ warning such agreements would harm Croatia’s interests.

Croatian President Zoran Milanovic has ordered the suspension of all cooperation between the Croatian Armed Forces and ‘Israel’s’ army, citing what he described as “unprecedented violations of international humanitarian law.”

In a statement, Milanovic said he had already directed the termination of military cooperation in May last year and urged the government to halt any planned arms or military equipment deals with ‘Israel.’ He also warned Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic that any renewed cooperation would be unacceptable.

As commander-in-chief, Milanovic stressed that Croatian forces would not participate in agreements involving the 'Israeli' army or defense industry, calling such arrangements harmful to Croatia’s interests.

Meanwhile, Defense Minister Ivan Anusic signaled continued engagement at the industry level. During a visit to Tel Aviv, he met minister Israel Katz to discuss strengthening bilateral defense ties, including cooperation on advanced systems such as the Trophy Active Protection System for Croatia’s Leopard 2A8 tanks.
