  • US decision on Iran expected soon: Senator Lindsey Graham said a US decision on Iran could come in “weeks, not months,” highlighting both diplomatic and military options.
  • Iran seen as weak and at risk of change: Graham described Iran as “at their weakest point since 1979” and expressed willingness to take risks for potential regime change, viewing the Iranian people as potential allies.

US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, visiting 'Israel', indicated that a US decision on how to handle Iran could come in “weeks, not months.”

Speaking at a press briefing in Tel Aviv, Graham emphasized his mission was to reassure 'Israelis' that there is “no daylight” between the United States and 'Israel' on Iran policy.

“There are two lines in the water right now,” Graham said. “One’s a diplomatic line, trying to find a way to end this regime diplomatically that will advance our national security interests. The other line is the military option.”

Meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu

Graham, an ally of President Donald Trump, later met with 'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He stated that Trump is “looking for which line can catch the biggest fish,” adding that decision-making on Iran is expected in the coming weeks.

Iran at its weakest

The senator described Iran as “at their weakest point since 1979,” citing economic collapse, a weakened military, and domestic unrest. He acknowledged that while the risk of regime change is real, he is willing to take that risk, noting that “the Iranian people have the potential to be a great ally of the United States, Israel, and the region.”
