  • Tehran has accelerated its collaboration with Russia to upgrade its ballistic missile arsenal—including high-precision systems like the 2,000km-range Kheibar Shekan—as a deterrent against potential US or ‘Israeli’ military action.
  • ‘Israeli’ officials view these advancements as a direct existential threat, warning that they may take unilateral military action if "red lines" regarding Iran's missile technology and accuracy are crossed.

Iran has intensified its collaboration with Russia to upgrade its ballistic missile arsenal, a development that raises concern in ‘Israel’, according to a Hebrew media report.

Central to this advancement is Iran's possession of missiles capable of reaching all parts of ‘Israel’, said a report by the Jerusalem Post.

The cooperation between Tehran and Moscow has accelerated in response to the perceived risk of military action by the United States or ‘Israel’.

Among the key systems in Iran's inventory are missiles with ranges extending approximately 2,000 kilometers, ensuring that the entirety of ‘Israeli’ territory falls within their operational scope.

This capability is exemplified by the Shahab series, which includes the Kheibar Shekan missile. Derived from North Korean technology, the Kheibar Shekan features a range of about 2,000 kilometers and is equipped with a particularly heavy warhead, ranking it among the most precise weapons in Iran's possession.

These enhancements occur against a backdrop of longstanding regional hostilities, where Iran's missile program serves as a critical component of its defense and deterrence strategy.

Foreign intelligence assessments indicate that such upgrades aim to bolster accuracy and payload capacity, potentially complicating defensive measures by adversaries.

‘Israeli’ officials have repeatedly expressed alarm over Iran's missile advancements, viewing them as a direct existential threat.

The timing of these reports aligns with broader diplomatic maneuvers, including discussions between ‘Israeli’ leadership and US counterparts regarding Iran's activities.

‘Israeli’ officials have warned that unilateral action may be necessary if certain red lines, such as advancements in ballistic missile technology, are crossed.
