The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed the opening of negotiations between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran in Oman’s capital, Muscat.

Spokesperson Ambassador Fuad Al-Majali said Jordan fully appreciates this diplomatic step aimed at easing regional tensions.

“The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan hopes these talks will lead to a comprehensive agreement that serves both parties’ interests and strengthens security and stability in the region,” he added.

The comments reflect Jordan’s support for efforts to de-escalate tensions and create a safe environment based on sound international understandings.

Ambassador Al-Majali also expressed Jordan’s full appreciation for Oman’s role in hosting the talks, praising the Sultanate for supporting initiatives by friendly and allied countries to reduce tensions and promote calm.

He reiterated the importance of resolving crises through diplomacy and dialogue, emphasizing that peaceful solutions positively benefit all people in the region.
