The Lufthansa Group has announced it will extend the cancellation of night flights to and from Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport through February 3, citing ongoing security concerns in the Middle East.
The German airline group, which also includes SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Eurowings, had previously limited operations to daytime flights between January 15 and 31 in anticipation of potential hostilities involving Iran.

By operating only during daylight hours, Lufthansa aims to avoid overnight stays in Israel for its flight crews.
Daytime flights to replace canceled night services
The carrier said that some of the canceled night flights will be rescheduled to daytime slots to ease disruptions for passengers. Travelers affected by the schedule changes are being offered rebookings or adjustments to travel dates.
“Passenger safety remains our top priority,” a Lufthansa Group spokesperson said. “We continue to monitor the situation closely and will adapt our flight operations as needed.”
