  • Following a 6-hour detention in Toronto on January 18, over war crime allegations filed by the Hind Rajab Foundation, ‘Israeli’ comedian Guy Hochman had his Canadian visa revoked, though he was briefly released to perform following diplomatic intervention.
  • Hochman’s US tour faced significant disruptions, including a cancellation at New York's Broadway Comedy Club due to protests and a ban from a Beverly Hills theater after he refused to publicly denounce the ‘Israeli’ military genocide in Gaza.

‘Israeli’ comedian/soldier Guy Hochman ran into several complaints during his North American tour, after the initial detention reported in Canada, where he revealed in statements that his visa got revoked and can no longer enter the country.

Since the January 18, 2026, incident at Toronto Pearson International Airport, where he was held for six hours following a complaint by the Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF) accusing him of war crimes and incitement to genocide, additional disruptions have unfolded across the United States.

The HRF's dossier highlighted Hochman's military propaganda and inflammatory statements related to ‘Israel's’ assault on Gaza, leading to his visa revocation by Canadian authorities.

Despite the interrogation and visa issues, Hochman was released after diplomatic intervention by the ‘Israeli’ consulate and proceeded with his Toronto performance for the local Jewish community.

However, the event drew protests outside the venue, resulting in one demonstrator's arrest for assaulting Hochman and his manager.

“But I got a letter from Canada that my visa is over and revoked,” Hochman said in statements to The Hollywood Reporter.

“So if I want to come back to Canada, maybe not.”

“They asked me about everything,” Hochman says of the interrogation.

“They asked what I did in the army. They asked about my parents and my family about my life and about the things I do. I didn’t understand.”

Moving to the United States, Hochman's scheduled appearance at the Broadway Comedy Club in New York City on January 20 was canceled amid protests by pro-Palestinian groups.

Demonstrators blocked the entrance, prompting venue management to prioritize safety and call off the show.

The HRF had preemptively filed a similar complaint with the US Department of Justice, citing alleged violations under US law, though no immediate federal action ensued.

Further complications arose in Los Angeles, where a performance at the Fine Arts Theatre in Beverly Hills, planned for January 26, was canceled after the venue demanded Hochman publicly denounce "genocide, rape, starvation, and torture" in Gaza.

Hochman refused, leading to his ban from the facility. The theater later issued an apology, acknowledging the decision as politically motivated and offering to reschedule.

The HRF has celebrated these outcomes as steps toward accountability, emphasizing that Hochman's actions, including videos glorifying military operations, normalize atrocities.

In a statement, the foundation noted the cancellations in New York and Los Angeles as direct consequences of their advocacy, while urging further legal pursuits.

Hochman, maintaining his innocence on the surface, has defended his content claiming it is patriotic support for ‘Israeli’ troops amid his recovery from cancer.
