  • Hamas plans to integrate around 10,000 police into Gaza’s new administrative body.
  • 'Israel' warns that any political arrangement must include full disarmament of Hamas.

Hamas is reportedly seeking to merge roughly 10,000 of its police personnel into the new administrative structure planned to replace its current governance in the Gaza Strip. Sources told Reuters that the move aims to form what is being called the "National Committee for Gaza Administration," also referred to as the "Technocracy Government".

Observers note that this step could complicate post-war arrangements, as 'Israel' has consistently demanded that Hamas disarm completely before any political agreements proceed.

'Israel' Stresses Disarmament

During a press conference in Astana following a meeting with his Kazakh counterpart Yermek Koşerbayev, 'Israeli' Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar reaffirmed the country's position.

"'Israel' supports President Trump’s plan to end the war in Gaza," Sa'ar said, emphasizing that its implementation depends on "Hamas disarming and the sector being stripped of weapons."

Regional Stability Hinges on Broader Dynamics

Sa'ar also highlighted that regional security depends on dismantling what he described as "Iran-backed actors in the Middle East," naming Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and the Houthis in Yemen. He called this step essential for ensuring long-term stability in the region.

The move by Hamas reflects its effort to maintain influence in Gaza, while 'Israel' and U.S.-led initiatives continue to link political arrangements to strict disarmament conditions.
