Hebrew media note that 2025 recorded 22 suicides among conscripts, the highest number in 15 years. Experts link the rising trend to psychological trauma from 'Israel’s' two-year war on the Gaza Strip.

The Gaza offensive, carried out with US support, killed over 71,000 Palestinians and wounded 171,000, mostly women and children, while causing massive destruction. The UN estimates reconstruction costs at around $70 billion.
