- Bella Hadid calls to abolish ICE, condemning what she describes as brutality against immigrants in the United States.
- The model says current immigration enforcement contradicts American values and basic human rights.
Supermodel and activist Bella Hadid has issued a strong condemnation of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, calling for the agency to be abolished and accusing it of carrying out aggressive and dehumanizing actions against immigrants.
In a lengthy statement shared on social media, Hadid described recent immigration enforcement practices as “outrageous, dangerous, horror movie-like behavior,” saying they no longer reflect the America she was taught to believe in.
“No longer the land of dreams”
Hadid said she feels devastated and disappointed by what she sees as a sharp departure from the ideals often associated with the United States.

“This no longer feels like the America we were taught to believe in,” she wrote, adding that the country has become a place “where dreams are stripped away, where families are torn apart, and where human dignity is treated as disposable.”
She stressed that her criticism comes from a place of care for the country, saying she loves America but cannot accept what she described as systemic cruelty toward immigrants.
Allegations of abuse and intimidation
The model accused ICE of increasingly aggressive and, in her words, illegal conduct. She cited reports and videos showing people being forcibly removed from their homes, pepper sprayed, harassed, and humiliated.
“Children, mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, human lives are being taken from their families,” Hadid wrote, expressing shock at what she described as violence carried out by authorities meant to protect the public.

She also alleged that people have been harmed or killed for filming, speaking out, or asserting their rights, characterizing such actions as an abuse of power.
Call for moral leadership
Hadid highlighted the immigrant roots of many American families, arguing that no one should be treated as less than human for trying to survive or build a life.
“I stand with my immigrant brothers and sisters,” she said, criticizing what she described as silence from political leaders in the face of cruelty. “Silence is not leadership. Looking away is not leadership.”
She concluded by calling for a restoration of moral accountability in government and prayed for those who have lost their lives, their families, and the future of the country.
Hadid’s comments come as immigration enforcement and border policy remain among the most contentious issues in US politics, drawing sharp debate over human rights, public safety, and the role of federal agencies.
