  • Al-Qassam Brigades spokesperson says prisoner and remains file handled with “full transparency.”
  • Group accuses ‘Israel’ of ceasefire violations while urging mediators to enforce the agreement.

The new spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades, said the group has fully complied with its obligations under the ceasefire agreement regarding prisoners and remains, accusing the occupation of repeated violations and massacres.

“Full transparency” on prisoners

In a statement, the new spokesperson said Al-Qassam dealt with the captives and remains deal “with full transparency” and completed all required steps based on the ceasefire agreement. He said all living prisoners and bodies in the group’s possession were handed over “as quickly as possible and without any delay”, despite what he described as non-compliance by the Israeli occupation and dozens of violations.

Call on mediators

He said the group is keen to close the file completely and has no interest in prolonging it, citing the interests of the Palestinian people. He added that Al-Qassam operated under “complex and near-impossible conditions” to locate and deliver all bodies of "enemy captives", with the knowledge of mediators.

He called on mediators to assume their responsibilities and compel the Israeli occupation to implement what was agreed upon under the ceasefire.

Ran Gweili case

Regarding the body of soldier “Ran Gweili”, he said mediators were provided with all available details and information on the location of the remains. He said the occupation’s current search in a specific area serves as proof of the accuracy of the information shared by Al-Qassam with mediators.

The statement comes amid ongoing disputes over ceasefire implementation, with both sides trading accusations over compliance and accountability.
