Three Palestinians were killed Monday evening in Gaza City after a wedding hall sheltering displaced families collapsed due to strong winds and heavy rain, local sources reported.

The victims were Wafaa Sharir, 33, Dua Mansour Hamouda, and the elderly Mohammed Al-Abed Hamouda, 72. Several others were injured in the incident, which occurred in the Al-Shalehat area west of Gaza City, near Al-Thawra Street. The building had previously been damaged in 'Israeli' bombardment, according to the Palestinian news agency Safa.
Civil defense issues warning
Maqmoud Basal, spokesperson for Gaza Civil Defense, said: “Since this evening, we have recorded three deaths due to partial collapses of buildings at risk of falling, caused by the current weather system hitting the Gaza Strip.”

He added that the situation is extremely dangerous, with many structures no longer providing safe shelter for residents amid ongoing rain and wind.
Basal called on international organizations and the global community to take urgent action to provide support and protection for affected civilians.
